While the vanilla flavoured 44 tonne tractor-trailers sail up the motorways with everything from baked beans to breeze blocks, it is you, the specialists, who move the nation's infrastructure into place. You deserve recognition for that effort, expertise and professionalism, and The Heavies is where you'll find it.
Our judges hand out the gongs not just to the headline names, but to less well-known operators who are raising standards and showing that small can be beautiful too. Effort and excellence, regardless of size.
"Entries do not need to be full of glitz and snappy presentations. We can see through that, to the essential value of the submission."
Napkins, networking and a night to remember
All industries have their premier event. The Heavies is that opportunity for you: a chance to meet peers, make new business contacts, entertain clients and reward your teams for the year's efforts.
Your hosts are two legends of BBC Radio royalty. Sally Boazman, better known to Radio 2 listeners as Sally Traffic, and regular HeavyTorque contributor Jon Harle, who spent ten years at Pickfords Heavy Haulage before picking up the microphone.
